We are in a very different world during the COVID-19 pandemic and business is having to adapt the way they interact with each other and the public. Whilst many companies are using Google Hangouts, Zoom, Loopup, Gotomeeting and others to communicate with employees and virtual events are becoming more popular and available, the question needs to be asked "do they give users the same experience'?
Many people are embracing the new technology and creating meaningful interactions remotely, however, the virtual meeting struggles to find the same level of communication that comes from being in the same room. The split screen, sound and visual glitches sometimes make the virtual meeting a challenge. Of course, at the moment we have to use the technology available to us and need to follow Government advice, but The Kent Event Centre team are looking forward to giving our delegates and visitors a warm welcome when the restrictions are lifted.
Maybe in the long-term our client's conferences, seminars and meetings will be a combination of face-to-face and web based with some delegates calling in rather than attending. Whatever our business world looks like the team here will be able to help you find the very best solution.
