Heritage


The Kent Event Centre has been on its current site at Detling since 1964. Originally purchased to host the annual Kent County Show. The Kent Event Centre has grown over the past twenty years with the building of the large John Hendry Pavilion, The Astor Pavilion, the Clive Emson Conference Hall and the Maidstone Exhibition Hall.

With over 50 years’ experience and an enviable reputation for providing and organising anything from the large scale exhibitions and trade fairs to conferences and dinner dances, the Kent Event Centre is the perfect venue for you. The Kent Event Centre currently has a full and varied calendar of shows, meetings, conferences and exhibitions and has all the necessary experience and skill to make your event successful.

Location


Our unique selling point is our size and location, between two major motorways and within 50 minutes by car or train from London. We have an excess of 200 acres of outdoor space and a private woodland at organisers disposal. We also offer onsite parking for up to 30,000 cars.

The Kent Event Centre is ideally located between the M20 and M2 motorways in the heart of Kent. Easily accessible and central to the county, the Kent Event Centre is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the North Downs.

Diversity of space


The Kent Event Centre is the largest conference facility in Kent, offering 7,000sqm. There are three main exhibition halls, ideal for creating stunning exhibitions, trade fairs or public shows. Three are interconnected; the John Hendry, the Maidstone Exhibition Hall, and the Astor Pavilion. The Clive Emson Conference Centre has 1700sqm of space within the single span building.

In addition to the exhibition spaces KEC has six smaller meeting rooms that can accommodate 2 to 120 guests, so however big or small your event, the Kent Event Centre can accommodate. We are competitively priced, delivering an affordable conference and Event solution for business in the South East.

Outdoor Space

The Kent Event Centre has 200 acres of outdoor space and parking for 30,000 vehicles. This area is secure with a permanent perimeter fence, up to 6 public entrances, electricity and water throughout the site. The entire site has toilet facilities and shower facilities that can cater for up to 30,000 visitors.


Weddings & Parties


Over the past few years we have been able to offer The Kent Event Centre as a venue for your wedding or party. Set in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', the site has flexible space no matter what size wedding breakfast or celebration event you require. We have integrated catering facilities for you or your chosen caterer. The resident electrical team can provide your lighting requirements and all of our exhibition halls and meeting facilities have power. So if your guest list is between 30 and 3,000 we can provide the space required to make your special day memorable.

All of our Asian events are managed by our expert Asian events team, Dream Day Catering and Events, Kent’s leading wedding services supplier. With a wealth of knowledge and experience with the Kent wedding market, it gives Dream Days the perfect foundation to help support your event and create that Dream Day in association with the Kent Event Centre. Dream Days will look after all your requests and needs, manage the event on the day so you do need to worry about anything.
