The Kent Event Centre is more than just a venue, it has undergone serious investment in the past few years and now has a broad range of facilities to suit every event. The site can easily be reached by either the M2 or M20 motorway’s and sits at the Maidstone end of the A249, a dual carriageway linking the two motorways.
The Kent Event Centre is the complex that houses the Kent County Showground, home of the county’s major agricultural, food and farming event in July. The site was bought in 1964 and throughout the past 40 years has seen major additions to the infrastructure with water, power and roadways being amongst the first major projects to take place.
In the last five years the emphasis has been on providing high quality exhibition and conference space. This has been achieved with the transformation of the Clive Emson Conference Centre, a 1700m2 clear span exhibition hall that can hold a seated theatre audience of 1000 people. The building is fully lit, has under floor cabling and is fitted with modern communication technologies. With a number of additional smaller meeting rooms and a fully equipped kitchen that can provide catering for 1000 guests, the Clive Emson is the perfect choice for many of the events that come to the Centre throughout the year.
This year saw the addition of the Maidstone Exhibition Hall which has been built on the site of the old temporary, Kent Pavilion. This wonderful single span 2880sqm space provides first-rate exhibition space. This facility now enables organisers to take advantage of the facilities and gives a real alternative to hosting an event in London. The Kent Event Centre has five smaller meeting rooms available to hire with capacities ranging from 8 to 100 people.
The team at the Kent Event Centre has a wealth of experience and are on hand to give you complete peace of mind. 2015 will see businesses hire the facilities for small meetings, larger conferences, events for the public, events for industry and outside events. The flexibility of the centre is the key to ensuring that whatever is happening throughout the year, the facilities are big enough for amazing stuff yet amazing enough for the small stuff.
